Did loads at the weekend

Visit the venue and planned the weekend, spoke to the florist and the travel agents. We’ve also mostly written our invitations now just checking some address details.

Weighing in at 65.4kg, I seem to have consistently lost some weight as I’m usually in the 65kgs instead of 67kgs. My body fat is 28%.

I have been to body pump this evening and I’ve eaten a plum and some cherries. Not bad, my habits might be changing

I tried to book on a class this evening, but its full

I rang up at 06.50 for a class at 18.15, can you believe it. Oh well at least I tried. I will have to try again on Thursday or Sunday.

Weight up, fat down

My weight has gone up to 65.8kg which is probably related to the fact I’ve been feeling a bit better so have been eating more. The good news is that apart from the last two weeks I’ve only been below 66kg once in the last 6 months, so still moving in the right direction.

My body fat has fallen to 24% – whoo hooo is that because I made it to the gym once last week? I think there might be something wrong with that figure, but it still feels good!

I'm trying to motivate myself to exercise at the moment

as I know changing my diet isn’t going to work alone. When I was last at my target weight I ate worse than I do know, but did a lot of exercise.

I was at the gym at lunch time and I’m planning to go to classes again next week.

I've made a start

I’ve thrown two pieces of clothing out this week.

Eaten chocolate every day this week

as we were given some easter eggs from my mother recently and we had to eat them before they went out of date.

I have been good at not having any at work though.

Flossed last night and I'm really glad I did

the stuff that comes out when you haven’t flossed in a while is quite distrubing, but will it motivate me?

I went to the gym at lunch time

this is good because hopefully it will mean I have destroyed my mental block about going at lunch time and means I will increase the number of times I go.

The latest version of body pump starts next week so I’m hoping to use that as a motivator to start going to classes again.

Something's happened

I’ve weighed myself this evening and I’m 65kg, that means I’ve lost 2.4kg since the first weigh in and 1.2kg since last week.

Unfortunately I know that a fair amount of this is muscle turning to fat as my my fat has inceased to 32% fat. Plus I haven’t been feeling well the last week so I haven’t been eating as much as normal. Once I feel better so I am eating as normal and exercising I suspect my weight will start going up again.




However I did treat myself to a full body hot rocks massage today – fantastic. She also said that she couldn’t see any cellulite – yippee. I had a look when I got home and the amount of cellulite as decreased dramatically.

I went to they gym on Friday and forgot to take my trainers!

Oh well at least I tried.

Went bridesmaid dress shopping yesterday

and we found a dress that suits both of them and they both like. Unfortunately it is more than we expected to pay (typical). I’ve now got to find out whether the mothers are willing to pay for it or if we can have something similar made.

The one problem is there isn’t long to make a decision

Mixed news at the work weigh in (but mainly poor)

I had my third weigh in at work today

In the last week I have
increased my percentage body fat by 2%
lost 2.4 pounds
decreased my hydration percentage by
1%
decreased my muscle by over 1 unit (don’t know what unit that is though) I’m now back at what I was when I was originally weighed mid May
my physique rating has stayed as normal
my metabolic age has increased from 27 to 31 (apparently my body is feeling sluggish this morning)




So basically I’ve lost weight, but it is due to muscle loss which isn’t good. I guess this shows that I’ve had a bad week where I haven’t exercised and I had chocolate every day. However it hasn’t been a good week as it was my Grandfather’s funeral on Monday and I’ve felt run down all week. However I’ve still been better than normal by not eating the chocolate at work and having vegetables in the evening and salad in my sandwiches (no fruit so far this week). Hopefully I’ll be back on form next week.

They've cancelled my ring order

and have said they are going to have make the ring from scratch instead. It adds ~£200 to the cost, but I think it is a better approach then changing the setting of the diamond in my engagement ring so it will sit over a plain band; I don’t want to risk losing my diamond.

I don't have anything wrong with my feet

which is good news. However the doctor said that I’m likely to suffer a lot later in life from bunions and ingrowing toe nails so thats not so good.

I’m hoping to book an appointment with an expert and see if there is any prevention I can do.

I avoided the birthday chocolate

It was someone’s birthday at work today and there was chocolate chip cookies, muffins, Quality Street and doughnuts. I didn’t have a single thing.

I have made a doctor's appointment

I am going to the doctor’s tomorrow to discuss my feet. Hopefully they will be able to tell me what’s wrong with them and suggest some things I can do or alternative treatment.

Flossed again last night

but it wasn’t very thorough and was only because I had corn on the cob again. I need to try harder with this goal as I know it is good for my teeth and if I flossed more regularly I might not have needed my last two fillings.

I forgot it was Monday yesterday so didn't weigh in

I am 66.2 kg so 600g less than last week which is ~0.5lb and 30% fat.

Its good that I’m losing weight and losing steadily, however I think I need to start exercising to seriously shift my cellulite. Unfortunately my back is playing up a lot at the moment and I don’t want to risk damaging it.

Two things have motivated me today.


  1. sitting in my parents kitchen having breakfast looking down the garden made me realise I want a house with a kitchen like that

  2. it was my grandfather’s funeral this morning and it just reconfirmed that I want to achieve something, I just need to decide what

Mixed weekend

I resisted several temptations and tried avocado and spinach. However I also had a very large hot chocolate with marshmallows, large chinese meal, half a bag of kettlechips, Finest triple chocolate cookie and two Tim Tams.

However I was feeling a bit down and wanted the naughties, but I expect I’ll be back on form tomorrow (except for finishing the tim tams and cookies of course).

I've ordered my wedding ring

and tried on £10,000 worth of diamonds at the same time as possible wedding jewellery (necklace and earrings). I don’t think its going to happen somehow :D

Good news at the work weigh in

There is an unofficial weigh in group at work to encourage people to lose weight. I joined this group in May and today was my second weigh in.

In the last 3 weeks I have

  • decreased my percentage body fat by ~3%

  • lost almost a whole pound

  • increased my body water range by 2

  • increased my muscle by over 1 unit (don’t know what unit that is though)

  • my physique rating has stayed as normal

  • my metabolic age has decreased from 33 to 27 (my actual age so that’s good)




I’m not sure how useful all this information is, but I like it this week as its all good news :D

and instead of visiting the tuck shop to buy chocolate I ate an apple. What sort of freak am I turning into!

I wonder if it is related to going to the gym. Anyway its a good thing we don’t have any in the house :D

I've renewed my membership

and I have been today. I am planning to go again on Friday. However what I really need to do is start going back to the classes. I was going to body pump 2/3 times and yoga 1/2 times a week in January.

I've just approved the invitation proofs

so we should be able to invite some people to the wedding in a few weeks time.
